Soaking Up Summer

ETC students are making the most of the final month of summer. With 5 camps running simultaneously, there's something for everyone!

Creative Drama: Dragons, Mermaids, and Unicorns

Campers created art projects, played games and acted out the story "The 3 Dragons" a thematic twist on the familiar Three Little Pigs! Campers will write an original fantastical story that they can act out at home with a family member.

Acting Out: Comedy vs. Drama

So far this week, campers have learned the rules of comedy, defined drama and tragedy, and played a bucketful of improv games! They have also been working on Open Scenes where actors are given an intentionally vaguely written script to flesh out with their own characters, setting, and backstory.

Musical Revue

This year's revue will be themed to "Spooky Stories by the Campfire" and the campers are excited to scare the pants off their audience next week at the final performance. Musical Revue is at Lubber Run Amphitheater this year, so we expect our largest live performance of the summer so far, as the space allows.

Sketch Comedy

Flexing your writing, acting, & timing muscles is what Sketch Comedy camp is all about, and that's just what this year's batch of comedic campers have been up to this week. Using improv games to work out characters and scenarios, the campers then take their best ideas and write them into final sketches that they will perform on Friday.

Shake the Screen

Filmmakers at Shake the Screen have started work on 5 different films so far. With topics from Greek Mythology, to nursery rhymes, to Aesop's Fables, this years final films are sure to be as amazing and diverse as ever.
